The American FactFinder Main Page

Using the Left Navigation Buttons

On the left side of FactFinder are a series of buttons and menus used for navigation. Users looking for quick facts on a variety of topics should start with the Fact Sheet. A topic-based view of data in American FactFinder is available using the topics listed under the People, Housing, and Business and Government links. Tasks like using data sets usually require a higher level of skill and are often good for those who are already familiar with American FactFinder. Following are brief explanations about each of the left navigation buttons:

Population Finder - Use the Population Finder to get population numbers for your geography. Links to selected tables and maps are also provided to help you see how the selected geography compares with others.

Census 2000 Fact Sheets are also available for specific race, ethnic, and ancestry groups.
