108th Congressional District Summary Files

Special Reports for the New Congress

Census 2000

The 108th Congressional District products contain data from the Census 2000 for geographical areas that are of special interest to members of Congress. They show information about the new congressional districts that were created as a result of the 2001 redistricting process based on data gathered in the Census 2000. The first assembly of Congress for these new congressional districts was the 108th Congress, elected in the fall of 2002.

The data are presented in two separate data products.

Several quick tables and geographic comparison tables which summarize the most popular results from the detailed tables are also available, as are reference maps and many thematic maps.

108th Congressional District Products have Special Geographies

The geographic levels for the 108th Congressional District products are based on the new congressional districts (CDs) created as a result of the Census 2000. These include not only the congressional districts themselves, but also subsets of other geographies which are contained within a congressional district. For example, if pieces of several counties make up a single congressional district, you can separately view results for the parts of each of the counties which are inside that district. Note that the federal government considers Hispanic or Latino origin different from race.
