Results from the 2002 Economic Census are now available through American FactFinder. The first data sets to be released in AFF are the:
New sector specific data sets, updates to previously released data sets, and updates to quick reports are released on a bi-weekly basis beginning with the initial release on Friday, June 18. For a more detailed schedule of releases see the 2002 Economic Census Release Schedule.
With the 2002 release cycle, AFF will greatly expand the product offerings available from the Economic Census. The following 2002 Economic Census products will be available in AFF in the future:
The FAQ link on the banner of AFF now goes to a new question and answer system. This system allows you to search for frequently asked questions across the entire Census Bureau web site or only American FactFinder. You can also submit questions to our customer call center.
We have added a new tutorial for the Custom Table feature. Custom Tables are available for Census 2000 data sets and allows you to create new tables from the existing data. The tutorial can be found under the Help button on the blue menu bar at the top of the page.
A new explanation of the table and map formats available in American FactFinder can be found on the Census Overview page and each of the data set pages. This page will be useful for users less familiar with the various formats in which data and information are presented in AFF.
The American Indian and Alaska Native Data and Links Page has been updated to include additional links to products from the Census 2000.
