2005 American Community Survey Data available on AFF

Released 8/15/2006:   Wave 1 - Social and Demographic Estimates released on AFF

• Demographic estimates include sex, age, race, and more.
• Social estimates include education, marital status, fertility, disability, school enrollment, and more.

Released 8/29/2006:   Wave 2 - Economic Estimates released on AFF

• Economic estimates include income, poverty, employment, occupation, commuting to work, and more.

Released 10/3/2006:   Wave 3 - Housing Estimates released on AFF

• Housing estimates include occupancy and structure, housing value and costs, utilities, and more.

Released 11/14/2006:   Wave 4 - Race, Ancestry and Ethnic data released on AFF

Data Sets page with 2005 American Community Survey (ACS) data set selected

Highlights of new data, tables, and enhancements for 2005:

• Expanded geographic coverage - counties and places with a population of 65,000 or more, congressional districts, metropolitan/micropolitan areas, and Puerto Rico
• 2005 Puerto Rico Community Survey (PRCS) data available
• in English - integrated with state-side 2005 ACS data in AFF
• in Spanish - initial release planned for December 2006

Detailed Table showing Alabama, California, and Puerto Rico
• Geographic Comparison Tables (GCTs) - compare data across similar geographic areas for popular themes
• Download Center makes faster download available for 2005 Subject Tables, Data Profiles, as well as Detailed Tables
• Due to release of ACS data by theme in 'waves', some data products will not have complete subject coverage until the release of Wave 3 in October.  Notes on the affected tables and pages will help to explain the data.
